Pony reflections is an original acrylic painting inspired by a wonderful photograph of some of Janice Priest's ponies (with Janice's permission).  This is such an iconic vision of Shetland - ponies living their best life free to roam (within an owners land which is mostly very wide-ranging), with their reflections showing perfectly in the glass-like water below them.  Yes, we do have those wonderfully calm days here and they are always very welcome.  Mirror like lochs, calm seas, and no wind to ruffle your hair-do!  Painting Shetland ponies has become one of my favourite occupations since coming to live here almost 20 years ago.
